Malcolm Coomber

I started my career as a Chartered Accountant in general practice, then went on to spend a number of years in commerce, adding practical ('real world'!) experience to my professional foundations.
It is this mix of financial and commercial backgrounds, I believe, that provides the ideal blend to fulfil my work at Hyde Corporate Finance, in advising clients on acquisitions, mergers and company sales. Also, I frequently work with clients when they experience trading difficulties and do practice what I preach to others! For example, following my appointment as Chairman to a company losing £250,000 each year, within three years we returned it solid profitability and sold it for seven million pounds.
On a personal note, I have been involved for more than twenty years in charitable ventures, most notably the ‘Chasse aux Tresors’ treasure hunts through the wine and champagne regions of France, with more than one hundred Hyde friends. Over the six events I’ve had key involvement in since 1990, we have raised in excess of £250k for some very special local childrens’ charities.
I’m also the proud father of two daughters, Laura and Giselle, who I love spending time with. Having said that, being out numbered in the male to female ratio can sometimes be a challenge and certainly keeps my negotiation skills sharp!Email:
Hyde Corporate Finance is part of the Hyde Partnership, providing joined up advice across consulting, accounting, tax and marketing issues.
Anita Wild, English 2000"Hyde Corporate Finance were superb - they found a buyer who was an ideal match for the business and achieved a total package value considerably above what I had expected to receive. Doing any deal is nerve wracking but their help was invaluable. They were good to work with - straight forward, tough but level headed when the butterflies started!"
Rod Milne, HFS Milbourne"We were fortunate to be able to plug into Hyde's experience to guide us through the merger minefield. In addition to obvious areas such as the simple financial arithmetic of the deal and premises there are so many other issues to take into consideration…. this means you have to have the best advice."
