John McCartney

My long and highly varied career has seen me actively involved in an incredible range of different industries and in pretty much every aspect of business - from strategy, planning and financing right through to sales, marketing, production, delivery and after sales. I use this experience to run my own business group and to offer advice to clients during their more challenging periods of business change.
Much of my working life has been involved in company acquisition, merger and profitable disposal. I have practical experience on how to position and structure a business attractively for sale. I can then help to manage the deal process through negotiation and on to final settlement to achieve the maximum benefit for everyone concerned, including all employees.
I regularly undertake comprehensive business and market reviews to help clients get clear direction on how to grow and prosper. This involves carefully analysing competitors and market areas, then looking closely at the company's own structure and processes to develop a strategy that will positively impact on the bottom line.
The most important aspect of my business life is that I really enjoy what I do. I know and continue to meet a vast array of business people at the very top of their professions - many of whom I count among my personal friends. Once I commit to a project, I dedicate all of my energy to ensure I achieve the best possible results.

Anita Wild, English 2000"Hyde Corporate Finance were superb - they found a buyer who was an ideal match for the business and achieved a total package value considerably above what I had expected to receive. Doing any deal is nerve wracking but their help was invaluable. They were good to work with - straight forward, tough but level headed when the butterflies started!"
Rod Milne, HFS Milbourne"We were fortunate to be able to plug into Hyde's experience to guide us through the merger minefield. In addition to obvious areas such as the simple financial arithmetic of the deal and premises there are so many other issues to take into consideration…. this means you have to have the best advice."
